I recently upgraded from a Zoom G3n to a G2 Four. Unfortunately, my G3n has a faulty USB port, so I cannot connect it to my mac anymore.<br />
<br />
I have a full backup of my G3n presets, but both ToneLib Zoom and the Zoom Guitar Lab software require the device to be physically connected to display the preset settings (parameters, effect chain, etc.).<br />
<br />
Since the G2 Four doesn&#039;t support direct importing from the G3n, I am prepared to recreate my tones manually. However, I need a way to...<br />

However, when I assign those controls to specific pedals and I push the button, nothing happens. I check to see the MIDI section of the settings, and I see that the input device is greyed out. It has a loop of 80 seconds instead of the g1x 50 seconds.<br />
7 chained pedals instead of 5<br />
300 patches instead of 50.<br />
And 3 times more expensive.<br />

So i was wondering...is it worth the upgrade (i have the g1xfour) money? Anyone has done a comparative of the two products?  <br />

I looked at various forums etc and this unit was suggested as a reasonably cheap echo option and that suitable patches could easily be added. I am finding it’s not quite as simple as I had thought. It seems this processor only accepts patches which are in the .zptc form. Quite a lot of the suitable Shadows sounds patches I have found are in the G3XP...<br />

There are other options now, but I still think that Tonelib sounds the best. So when I saw Grand Magus, I tried it out right away and then purchased it, even though metal is not my thing.<br />
