Where to put ZNR?

From what I understand, the ZNR effect cleans up the sound during playing pauses. Now, where is the best place to put it in the chain, and how does where you put it affect the sound?
    Please advise. Thanks.

I always place ZNR first, before the other effects.
You can use the default setting to understand how it cuts, because if you increase the filter too much, it blocks certain frequencies from being heard.
I only use it to remove pickup noise.

From what I understand, the ZNR effect mainly reduces noise during pauses in playing. Where you place it in the signal chain can change how it behaves.
A common approach is to put ZNR near the end of the chain (after distortion or amp simulation). This way it can clean up the noise generated by high-gain effects and keep the signal quieter when you stop playing.
If you place it earlier in the chain (for example before distortion), it will mainly reduce the noise coming from your guitar or pickups. However, the distortion that comes after it may still amplify some noise.
