Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and I've had the G1X four for a few days. I'm trying to figure it out. Does anyone have any ideas for playing Bryan Adams' Summer of 69? Thanks everyone

    Zoom G1X Four – Summer of '69
For Summer of '69, I'd build the patch around a Marshall-style amp, because the original recording has that classic crunchy rock rhythm tone rather than a Vox-style chime.

    1. Compressor
    M Comp
    • Sustain: 35
    • Attack: 25
    • Level: 100
    • Tone: 55
    2. Overdrive
    TS Drive (Tube Screamer style)
    • Gain: 25
    • Tone: 50
    • Level: 80
The TS Drive is used mainly to tighten and push the amp.
    3. Amp
    MS800 (Marshall JCM800 style)
    • Gain: 45
    • Bass: 50
    • Mid: 65
    • Treble: 60
    • Presence: 55
    • Level: to taste
This is probably the closest starting point for the Bryan Adams rhythm sound.

If MS800 feels too aggressive, try:
    • Gain: 40
    • Mid: 70
    4. Cabinet
    If using a separate cab:
    • MS 4x12
    • Mic: Dynamic
    • Position: Center or slightly off-center
    5. Delay
    Digital Delay
    • Time: 250 ms
    • Feedback: 15
    • Mix: 20
The delay should be barely noticeable.
    6. Reverb
    Plate Reverb
    • Decay: 25
    • Tone: 50
    • Mix: 15

    Signal Chain
    M Comp → TS Drive → MS800 → Cabinet → Digital Delay → Plate Reverb

    Good luck.

If you have the patch please share it here.
