How to view Zoom G3n backup presets without the device? (USB port broken)

    Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded from a Zoom G3n to a G2 Four. Unfortunately, my G3n has a faulty USB port, so I cannot connect it to my mac anymore.

I have a full backup of my G3n presets, but both ToneLib Zoom and the Zoom Guitar Lab software require the device to be physically connected to display the preset settings (parameters, effect chain, etc.).

Since the G2 Four doesn't support direct importing from the G3n, I am prepared to recreate my tones manually. However, I need a way to open or "read" my backup files on my computer just to see the settings.

    • Is there any offline preset viewer or third-party software that can open .g3nz or ToneLib backup files without the hardware?

    • Has anyone had success extracting this data?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.: I am aware that I could manually check each setting on the G3n's screen, but I have a large number of presets. Checking them one by one on the pedal's interface would be extremely tedious and time-consuming. I’m looking for a software-based solution to speed up the transition to the G2 Four.

    Thanks!
