Zoom g5 hacking question/possible request

Not sure where this would fit. I have zoom g5. I still use if after 10 years or more. I went to ashbass's site (everyone knows who he is I think) to check out some mods I'd like to do, but the page is down. Having said that, I have two questions.

1) Does any one have his Zoom G5 scroll left<->right switch guide?
2) He used to have this firmware mod where you would turn off all cabs while connected to PC and then turn them on one by one if needed. Recently I found out that BOSS has this thing were, when you switch from amp to direct output, the unit itself turns on cab sims. Do think it would be possible to modify Zoom G5 firmware so when you switch to direct or amp, it toggles cabs on and off automatically?
