I’m brand new here and have a really dumb question. I have a G3Xn and I play bass. Are there any patches set up for bass? I know that I should be using a unit that’s made for bass but I already have the G3Xn. I’ve read about changing the firmware back to 2.0 and installing Zoom Firmware Editor but that scares me. I have my bass sounding great with my Zoom through a Markbass 58R and a Laney Pro-Bass 18”+2x12” cab, but I’m curious about the bass effects and patches. Should I just leave well enough alone, or is there anything I should check into?
I haven't had a play with this so it's at your own risk - the current version of Zoom Effect Manager allows you to move effects only between various older generation Zoom pedals, without doing anything unpleasant to the firmware. https://www.zoomeffectmanager.com/en/ You should be able to get some B3/B3n/MS-60B effects to try out.
