Edit: never mind. Finally found the way to change the output folder. Don't know why it seemed so easy to miss. Why can't I delete my own posts? What is this dictatorship.

So I recently got around to fixing Window's ridiculous user folder naming issue and changed my username on my computer. Because of this, when I press record in GFX, I get Recording error: Unable to create folder "path leading to my old username/GFX Recordings." Access is denied.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling thinking it would link to the correct path but has the same issue.

I answer to myself.. It works by changing the "Recording folder" in the "Recording output" tab, to anything like c:\temp

On the other hand, I found the problem with the original folder. Windows 11 was blocking the access to the folder. The windows defender application control was the culprit. Allowing the access to the folder solved that problem.
